Mostly Water presents: Metro Shorts
Metro Shorts is a chance for independent short filmmakers to have their work (5 mins & under) professionally screened, adjudicated by industry members and be forced to make more films.
All films selected for inclusion will receive $50 CARFAC screening fees; in addition, a $100 cash prize will be given to the winner of each event. This winner is chosen by a convoluted and cumulative point structure that will be explained before each round, with a final winner announced in May. The audience acts as studio executives, voting to decide if the short is good enough for a subsequent command production at the next instalment of Metro Shorts.
Hosted by Mostly Water Theatre, produced by Metro Cinema, and adjudicated by Edmonton’s finest professional entertainers, including Dana Andersen, Dave Clarke, Davina Stewart, and CBC Radio’s Peter Brown.
