Four Decades of Kubrick

Join us as we celebrate films from four different decades by master filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. 1956's The Killing (presented by Cult Cinema), 1968's 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1971's A Clockwork Orange and 1980's The Shining (presented by DEDfest). Kubrick was as talented as he was private, fiercely guarding both his film shoots and his family life after turning his back on Hollywood and taking his film making career to the UK in 1962. Certainly not a prolific filmmaker - having made only 16 films over the course of a 48 year career - Kubrick's films garnered 13 Oscar nominations (including 5 for Screenplay, 4 for Director & 3 for Best Picture) but only won once - for Best Special Effects for 2001.
