Zombie’s plot is simple – the undead run amok – but its tropical locale, inventive low budget makeup, eerie score, and ample gore have made it an exploitation classic. It also features one of the most infamous, ballsy scenes in movie history: ZOMBIE vs. SHARK! Also, we’ve got vintage trailers, prizes for best tropical zombie costume, and more!

Trivia: Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez screened a double bill of Zombie and the Italian giallo Torso to the cast of Grindhouse before production. A fundraiser for DEDfest: Hellberta’s Horror Festival.
