As part of Alberta Arts Days (Sept 17 - 19), Metro Cinema and the Alberta Media Arts Alliance Society are proud to present the latest edition in the ongoing series of annual anthologies of short films and videos made in Alberta. This edition features fourteen animated, live action and experimental shorts. A showcase for some of the best recent work by Alberta’s media artists, 2010’s Prairie Tales 12 treats viewers to an impressive range of genres and styles, from sci-fi adventure to activist documentary, from sketch comedy to family drama, from narratives to essays and experimental pieces and from hand-made and hand-drawn animation to CGI and stop motion.
