R.I.P. Levon Helm. The much beloved, recently passed drummer of The Band is joined by his 'Band'-mates Rick Danko, Garth Hudson, Richard Manuel and Robbie Robertson in Martin Scorsese's classic music film documenting their famous last concert together in 1976. Guest artists include Paul Butterfield, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Rockin' Ronnie Hawkins, Emmylou Harris, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, The Staple Singers, Muddy Waters and Neil Young. The camera explores the interactions onstage and offstage, with interviews focusing on the nature of life on the road after 16 years - the friendships, the harmonies, the hijinks, and the wear and tear that add up to a last waltz.
