Improvaganza: The Improvaganza Stand-Up Showcase featuring Maria Bamford

Maria Bamford is one of the most unique voices in comedy today. She was part of the Comedians of Comedy Tour, and her CD was named one of the best comedy albums of the decade by The AV Club. Maria is also known for her cult hit web series, and her TV appearances including Conan, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Tim and Eric: Awesome Show and The Sarah Silverman Program. Judd Apatow described her as “hysterically funny”, and we think you will too! Also performing will be local favourites Jon Mick (who sold out the Garneau in his Edmonton: I Love You show), Mike Robertson (creator of High Wire Films), as well as Cheryl Hann and Andrew Bush of Halifax’s Picnicface (who took the internet by storm with their “Powerthirst” video). This live performance is part of IMPROVAGANZA, Edmonton’s alternative comedy festival, running June 13-23, 2012.
