After a group of alien scientists accidentally leave one of their own behind, ten year old Elliott (Henry Thomas) makes first contact after leaving a trail of Reese’s Pieces candies. The two become fast friends, even developing a sort of psychic bond that lets them share emotions and actions. When government agents get a whiff of these goings-on, E.T. and Elliott must find away to get the traveller back home.
With some of the most striking images ever to be seen in childrens’ cinema, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial demolished box office records upon its release. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Metro Cinema presents this film in its intended form, a 35mm print!
