One year ago, Metro Cinema kicked off our first night at the Garneau theatre with a screening of this comedy classic. 365 days later, Jeff “The Dude” Lebowski returns! This time bring pocket change for Lebowski drink specials!
Lebowski (Jeff Bridges), mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) and Donny (Steve Buscemi) to help get it. This case of mistaken identity gets complicated by extortion, double-crosses, deception, embezzlement, sex, pot, and gallons of White Russians (pocket change!), and it soon seems that everyone from porn empire tycoons to nihilists want something from The Dude. “The Dude abides. I don’t know about you but we still take comfort in that.”
