Hudson Hawk
USA
1991,
100 min,
Digital,
Dir: Michael Lehmann
Challenged as both an action and a comedy film, Hudson Hawk does feature perhaps Bruce Willis’ finest hairpiece. Defenders claim the film has been savaged by critics who don’t get the absurd sense of humour. We claim we might actually prefer the Commodore 64 video game version of the game, which pits us against an avatar of Richard E. Grant. Speaking of Mr. E Grant, his autobiography is not too flattering about the shooting schedule’s daily rewrites. This film won all the top Razzie Awards of 1992, but we hear only Mr. Willis’ hairpiece attended the ceremony.
