FAVA Video Kitchen

FAVA is proud to present new works from their introductory digital film course, Video Kitchen as well as their 16MM Film class. Our students have been hard at work cooking up a fresh batch of short films and are ready to serve them up to an audience hungry for some piping hot, homemade media art.

FAVA's creative video class, Video Kitchen runs twice a year and is taught by accomplished and versatile media artists. With a healthy mix of theory and practice, Video Kitchen offers aspiring film and video artists the opportunity to gain new skills and develop their own personal vision within a supportive and collaborative environment. The class culminates with each student shooting and editing their own short film.

In FAVA's 16mm film class, participants make their very own short 16mm film, finished to a film print with an optical soundtrack, learning all the steps of the process. They gain experience working on all aspects of film production and understand it from the inside out including the film-finish process, which is an increasingly rare and exquisite skill.
