Cats are indeed the masters of indifference, so the majority of the feline population is probably nowhere near as excited as the legions of cat-lovers who have been drawn to the first-ever festival devoted to the best in cat-themed You-Tube videos. One of the internet’s most popular phenomena, the fest features all your favourite online feline stars. You’ll see such celebricats as Grumpy Cat, Lil Bub, Keyboard Cat, Henri le Chat Noir, and the NONONONO cat.
The Canadian Federation of Humane Societies (CFHS) got its paws on the videos and is now putting the popularity of cat videos to work to help cats in need nation-wide in an 11-city cross-country tour, from which half of all proceeds go to the CFHS. Prepare to swoon from sheer cuteness overload! For more info on the CFHS go to: www.cfhs.ca.
Stephanie Rigby, Chair of the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies, will be in attendance to introduce to the feline festivities.
It's not about watching cat videos, it’s about watching cat videos together!
FILM REVIEW "It’s hard to be grumpy when you’re watching funny videos with cats. Up until now, members of the public had to be content to view the perpetually perturbed Tardar Sauce (a.k.a. Grumpy Cat) and similar videos on their home TV and computer monitors. Things are moving to the big screen for three days only this weekend, as the first ever Just for Cats Film Festival takes over the Metro Cinema." Scott Hayes, St Albert Gazette
