On est au coton
Cotton Mill, Treadmill
Canada 1969, 159 min, 16mm,

Perhaps Arcand's most debated, yet unseen, film On est au Coton (Cotton Mill, Treadmill is the awkward English title) examines the conflict between Quebec textile workers and their factory owner. As the workers organize themselves for better, healthier working conditions, Arcand examines the life led by their boss. The NFB banned the film upon its completion for fear of angering the textile industry.
