The Hobo (Rutger Hauer) pulls into Hope City and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city’s crime boss, The Duke (Brian Downey) reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, The Hobo tries to beg money to buy a used lawnmower so he can beautify the city. He soon realizes what the city needs is justice, which he dispenses from the end of his trusty second-hand shotgun.

After winning the 2007 Grindhouse international fake trailer competition, writer John Davies and director Jason Eisener fleshed out their short film into a full-length feature.  Rutger Hauer, replacing David Brunt in the lead role, turns in a beautifully nuanced performance. Filled with over the top action and peppered with Canadian in-jokes (was that a Bricklin?) Hobo with a Shotgun is not to be missed.
