Pride in Politics: Identity, Class and Political Activism

The Gender and Sexual Diversity Caucus, Race Equity Caucus, and New Democrat Youth of Alberta are hosting a screening of Pride at Metro Cinema in Edmonton.

Pride, based on a true story, explores the intersection of the labour and LGBTQ movements during Thatcher era policies, proving solidarity works when we stand together.

A diverse panel of guest speakers will discuss political activism and opportunities for engagement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other progressive folks in the LGBTQ2S+ community and political activists. Come find out more about getting involved with Alberta’s NDP during the 2019 election and beyond!

Doors at 3:00 pm
Discussion following the screening at 5:30 pm
Admission: pay what you can, by donation.
