Metro Cinema is a not for profit Society, and we are responsive to the ideas and desires of our membership. These members have an opportunity to help shape the future of Metro by voting in general meetings, electing the volunteer board of directors, and in other fancy ways that we haven’t dreamed up yet.
Additional membership benefits include admission to our Kino Confidential screenings. Kino Confidential is a film unbeknownst to the audience until it begins, and it doubles as our quarterly “Member Night” screenings and entitles registered Metro Cinema Members to free entry, a small popcorn, and a small drink!
Metro Cinema Society membership is good for the balance of one year, starting/ending on the date of our annual AGM each November. There are three ways that you can become a member:
- Donate $100 or more (one-time) to the Society this calendar year. A charitable tax receipt will be offered for your donation. You can donate to us at the theatre, or via Canada Helps.
- Volunteer a minimum of 12 hours at Metro Cinema (or equivalent in professional services) during the one year period.
- Purchase a Silver Screen pass.
