Metro is back! We’re so excited to announce our return to theatrical screenings and welcome...
In the fall of 2011, Metro Cinema made its home the Garneau Theatre. Since then, we have watched many great films and made lasting memories. We have spent these years bringing new life to this historic cinema while maintaining its beautiful ambiance. Over the years, we have welcomed the community into the building for over 8000 film screenings and events. And we’re not done yet! This coming year, Metro is excited to be embarking on our 10th season at the Garneau and ushering in the 80th year for this amazing landmark building.
We welcome you to join us on Friday, September 11th for our 2020/2021 season launch as we tip our hat to the classics of Hollywood Renaissance Cinema with a screening of “Rocky” at 7PM. The price of admission is “pay what you can” and seating is especially limited this year, so be sure to arrive early.
