Derrick, an inner-city teenage boy, has his life turned upside-down when his drug-running sister, Lakota, goes missing. Lakota’s sudden disappearance leaves Derrick to piece together the clues of her abduction all while facing racism, police brutality, and his own lack of confidence. With guidance from his spirit animal, Derrick is able to continue his journey with renewed strength and resolve and gets closer to finding his sister, ending up in the fight of his life.
