Eat/Sleep/Cheer/Repeat – NWF

Directed by Tanya Doyle | 87’ | Ireland

From award-winning director Tanya Doyle (THE HOUSE) comes an uplifting coming-of-age documentary exploring gender, strength and why “things that are considered female” are not taken seriously. Meet the athletes of Ireland’s National Cheerleading team, a group of young misfits who have found a place where they belong. But with no respect for the sport in Ireland, these athletes don’t believe they can ever win.

As their anxiety-crippled coach, Hilton, fights to keep the team motivated throughout the season, we follow our underdog athletes’ journey to the World Championships. This is a story of athletes who don’t just want to fit in. They want to stand out!

WE ARE FLYING STARS – Directed by Todd Antony | 8’ | New Zealand
The Flying Star Amputees are a group of football teams born out of the adversity of war. While all the players are victims of civil war amputations, football has brought them a level of joy, confidence, and hope for a better future.
