The critical work of reducing Edmontonians’ ecological footprint is done by some of the most marginalized members of our community. At the world-renowned Edmonton Waste Management Centre, a company called Quality One hires people with barriers to employment: criminal records, addictions, newcomer status, and disabilities of various kinds. The result: real community in an unlikely place. The Line is a documentary that sheds light on their stories and reveals what happens to the things we throw away. Featuring a panel discussion following the screening.
October 3 has sold out, but a second screening on October 10 has been added. You can buy tickets on Eventbrite!
Tickets are pay-what-you-can at Eventbrite, and the proceeds will go to supporting the houseless community in the heart of our city, Camp Pekiwewin. Capacity is limited, get your tickets early.
