The purpose of this series will be to highlight anime films that have gone overlooked by modern film audiences—the films being screened might also be some of the most influential. Overlooked Anime wishes to showcase a variety of films that will go from emotional gut punches, to filled with excitement. Each film will be preceded by an introduction giving information on the making of the films, the filmmakers involved, and why these films are important.
